Good to know

Frequently asked questions

Linen and Co supplies bed linen, towels, duvet inners, protectors and table linen to hotels, guesthouses, B&Bs, lodges, game reserves, spas and self-catering properties across South Africa. Approved hospitality accounts get trade pricing and written quotations, with volume savings once switched on for the account, and we can size and brand linen to fit your rooms.

Do you offer trade pricing for hotels and guesthouses?

Yes. Apply for a trade account, and once it is approved you see hospitality prices when you sign in. Once volume savings are switched on for your account, you also get automatic savings on eligible items.

What do I get with an approved hospitality account?

Your account brings your property details, room pictures, quotations, previous orders and reorder tools together in one dashboard, with the approved trade prices suited to your business.

Can I see a room styled before I order?

Yes. In your dashboard, upload a photo of the room or describe it in a few words, and we create a picture of it styled with Linen and Co linen. You can ask for changes, keep your last ten versions, and download or share the picture. Room pictures are styling ideas, not exact colour, size or fitting guarantees.

How does volume pricing work with sale prices?

Hospitality accounts with volume savings switched on get them on qualifying products and quantities. Savings are not added together: if an item is on sale and the sale price is lower than the volume price, the lower sale price applies and nothing extra is taken off.

More questions
Can I use Linen and Co for top-ups as well as full-property projects?

Yes. Straightforward replenishment can be shopped by range, while openings, refurbishments and larger room lists are better handled as a quotation.

Is there a minimum order?

There is no minimum order for trade clients, so you can order exactly what you need, whether that is one room or a full property. The one exception is Papini curtain hardware, which has a supplier minimum of R1,500.

Which bed linen fabric should a hospitality business choose?

Polycotton percale 200TC suits high turnover and fast drying. Cotton percale 200TC gives a natural, breathable feel with good durability. Cotton percale 300TC, available in white only, suits premium rooms. If you are unsure, send us your room count, bed sizes and laundry method and we will recommend a setup.

Can you make linen to fit non-standard beds?

Yes. We supply standard sizes from Single to Super King XL and can size linen to fit unusual or mixed bed setups. Custom sizes are made to order.

Can you add our logo or branding?

We offer embroidery on towels and bathrobes and satin stitch detailing on pillowcases. Contact us with your requirements for a quote.

How long does delivery take?

Ready-stock items usually take 3 to 5 business days before dispatch. Made-to-order items usually take 7 to 14 business days before dispatch, once payment is confirmed. Delivery times vary by location, and we will do our best to help with urgent orders.

Who we supply

Every property washes, turns rooms and stores linen differently, so the right fabric and quantity differ too. We work with the whole range of hospitality businesses. Start with the page that matches yours:

  • Hotels and boutique hotels: consistent sizing and colour across rooms and re-orders, and fabric that holds up to commercial laundering.
  • Guesthouses and B&Bs: practical, easy-care linen in a mix of bed sizes, without paying for more than you need.
  • Lodges and game reserves: durable linen and sensible ordering for remote properties and long laundry cycles.
  • Airbnb hosts and self-catering properties: small orders, neutral colours and quick re-orders.
What we supply

One supplier for the whole room, so sizes, colours and quality match and you place fewer orders.

  • Bed linen: duvet cover sets, fitted sheets, flat sheets and pillowcases in cotton and polycotton percale.
  • Bath: bath towels, hand towels, face cloths, bath mats and bathrobes from Bristol, Simon Baker and Glodina.
  • Bedding: duvet inners, pillows, mattress and pillow protectors, and mattress toppers.
  • Window treatments and table linen: ready-made curtains, blinds, tablecloths, napkins and chair covers.
Choosing a bed linen fabric

Most hospitality bed linen in our range is percale: a plain, tightly woven, matte fabric that looks crisp when it is made up. The three choices below cover almost every property.

Our bed linen fabrics compared
FabricWhat it isSuits
Polycotton percale 200TCA 50/50 cotton and polyester blend. Dries quickly and resists creasing.High turnover, tumble drying and busy laundry days
Cotton percale 200TC100% cotton. Crisp, breathable and cool.A natural feel with good everyday durability
Cotton percale 300TC100% cotton, a finer thread count and a smoother hand. White only.Premium rooms where feel matters most
Colours, sizes and finishes

Percale bed linen comes in white, cream, stone, grey and duck egg, so a property can keep one colour scheme or mix them by room type. Duvet cover sets come in Single, 3/4, 3/4 XL, Double, Queen, King, Super King and Super King XL. Duvet covers close with a press-stud or envelope closure, and pillowcases and sheets can have plain, Oxford or satin stitch finishes in five stitch colours.

If your beds are not standard sizes, we can size linen to fit. A poor fit means slipping duvets and sheets that pull off the corners, and that costs housekeeping time every day.

  • Subtle branding: embroidery on towels and robes, and satin stitch on pillowcases.
  • Custom sizing for non-standard or mixed bed setups.
How trade ordering works

Apply for a trade account and, once approved, you see hospitality prices when you sign in and you can turn a basket into a written quotation. A quotation holds your items, quantities and prices for seven days, so you can get it approved before you order.

  • Hospitality prices for approved trade accounts.
  • Automatic volume savings on eligible items, once switched on for your account: 5% from R5,000, 8% from R10,000 and 10% from R20,000.
  • No minimum order for trade clients, apart from Papini curtain hardware (a supplier minimum of R1,500).
  • Delivery priced at checkout from your address, with live courier prices.
