Who we supply

Hotel Linen in South Africa

Hotel linen has to look the same in every room, survive commercial laundering and re-order without surprises. Linen and Co supplies percale bed linen, towels, inners and protectors to hotels, with repeatable sizing and colours, custom sizing for non-standard beds, subtle branding and trade pricing.

What hotels need from linen

"Hotel grade" is a common phrase, but it is not a regulated label. What matters is how the linen performs after repeated washes and how well it matches across rooms and across re-orders. Guests notice a duvet cover that feels different, a white that does not match, or a pillowcase that sits oddly.

  • Consistent sizing in every room.
  • Consistent fabric feel and finish.
  • Re-orders that match earlier batches.
  • Construction that holds its shape through frequent washing: neat, strong stitching and accurate sizing.

Choosing the fabric

The right fabric depends on your turnover, wash temperatures, drying method and the finish you want on the bed.

FabricWhy hotels choose it
Polycotton percale 200TC (50/50)Durable, quick drying and resistant to creasing. Practical where rooms turn over often.
Cotton percale 200TCCrisp, breathable and comfortable. A good balance of guest comfort and durability.
Cotton percale 300TC (white only)A finer thread count and smoother hand for premium rooms.

Details that make housekeeping easier

Small details have a large effect on room turnaround. Duvet covers are available with press-stud or envelope closures, and many hotels prefer the envelope closure because it is quick to make up and easy to launder. For a refined finish, satin stitch on pillowcases is subtle and looks premium, and embroidery on towels and robes adds brand presence and helps with stock control.

Sizing that fits real hotel beds

We supply Single, 3/4, 3/4 XL, Double, Queen, King, Super King and Super King XL. Fitted sheets are made for 30 cm and 35 cm mattress depths. If your beds are not standard, we can size linen to fit.

How many sets does a hotel need?

A common rule of thumb is three sets per bed: one on the bed, one in the laundry and one on the shelf. Properties with slower laundry turnaround or higher occupancy often hold more. Send us your room count, bed sizes and laundry process and we will work out quantities with you.

Towels, inners and protectors

We supply bath towels, hand towels, face cloths and bath mats from Bristol, Simon Baker and Glodina, including snag-proof ranges for heavy laundering. Duvet inners come in microfibre, natural cotton, goose down and duck feather, and quilted or towelling Wetsafe protectors keep mattresses and pillows clean between guests.

Ordering for a hotel

Apply for a trade account to see hospitality prices, build a basket and request a written quotation that holds your prices for seven days. Eligible items earn automatic volume savings of 5% from R5,000, 8% from R10,000 and 10% from R20,000. There is no minimum order for trade clients, and we can plan around openings, refurbishments and seasonal peaks.

Good to know

Frequently asked questions

What fabric is best for hotel bed linen?

For high-turnover hotels, polycotton percale 200TC is a practical choice because it dries quickly and resists creasing. Cotton percale 200TC offers a more natural feel, and cotton percale 300TC (white only) suits premium rooms.

How do I keep linen consistent across rooms and re-orders?

Order from one supplier, keep to one fabric and colour per room type, and re-order by the same product. Our sizing and colours are repeatable, so new stock matches earlier batches.

Can you size linen for non-standard hotel beds?

Yes. We can size linen to fit mixed room types and non-standard bed setups. Custom sizes are made to order.

Can you embroider our hotel name or logo?

We offer embroidery on towels and bathrobes and satin stitch on pillowcases. Contact us with your requirements for a quote.

How many sets of linen should a hotel hold?

A common starting point is three sets per bed: one on the bed, one in the laundry and one on the shelf. Busy properties often hold more. Send us your room count and laundry turnaround and we will help you plan.

Is there a minimum order for hotels?

No. There is no minimum order for trade clients, so you can order one room's worth of linen or a full property in a single order.
