How to Measure — Ready-Made Curtains

Measure your hanging point, full pole or track width and finished drop, then calculate fullness and quantity using the listed width for your chosen curtain.

Choose your hanging point

For eyelet curtains, measure from the top of the curtain pole.
For taped curtains, measure from the track or hook position.
Use the correct hanging point before measuring the finished drop.

Measure the pole or track width

Measure the complete pole or track from end to end.
Keep the tape level and straight.
Record the total fitting width in centimetres.

Measure the finished drop

Measure straight down from the correct hanging point to your desired finish.
Standard Length is 220 cm.
Extra Length is 250 cm.
Choose the available drop closest to your required finish.

Calculate fullness and quantity

Multiply the total pole or track width by 1.5 to 2 for the required fabric width.
Check the listed width per curtain because widths vary across the range.
Divide the required fabric width by the listed width per curtain and round up to a whole number of curtains.

For a simple look use less fullness; sheers often look best near 2× fullness. If you are unsure, contact us with your pole or track width and required drop before ordering.
