Care Guide

Caring For Your Duck Feather Pillows – Twin Pack

  • Machine Wash: Gentle cycle at 40°C maximum — do not wash at high temperatures
  • Tumble Dry: Low heat with dryer balls to restore loft and prevent clumping
  • Do Not Bleach: Bleach degrades natural feather fill and weakens the cotton shell
  • Do Not Iron: Heat damages the natural fill and cotton casing
  • Air Dry Fully: Ensure completely dry before use to prevent mildew in the feather fill
  • Shake and Fluff: Regularly shake and fluff to maintain loft between washes
  • Use a Pillow Protector: Extends lifespan and reduces wash frequency in hospitality settings
  • Wash Frequency: Every 3–6 months under normal hospitality use, or as operationally required

How To Measure

How to Measure - Pillows & Pillow Protectors

Measure your pillow insert — not your bed — to find the right pillow case or pillow protector.

Identify Your Pillow Size
1

Identify Your Pillow Size

  • Standard pillow: 45 x 70cm
  • King pillow: 50 x 90cm
  • Continental pillow: 80 x 80cm
  • Scatter cushion: 45 x 45cm, 50 x 50cm or 60 x 60cm
Measure the Length
2

Measure the Length

  • Lay your pillow flat on a firm surface
  • Measure from one short end to the other along the longest edge
  • Note this measurement in centimetres
Measure the Width
3

Measure the Width

  • Measure across the pillow at its widest point
  • Note this measurement in centimetres
  • Compare both measurements to the size chart to confirm your size
Selecting a Pillow Protector
4

Selecting a Pillow Protector

  • Pillow protectors are available in Standard (45×70cm), King (50×90cm) and Continental (80×80cm)
  • All protectors use a flap/envelope closure — no zip
  • Select the protector size that matches your pillow insert dimensions exactly
  • If your pillow is overfilled or oversized, size up

We strongly recommend using a pillow protector on all pillows. It extends the life of your pillow, maintains hygiene standards between guests, and protects your investment — especially important in high-turnover hospitality environments.

We recommend a King size pillow (50×90cm) for all King and Super King beds. King pillows are also ideal for Single and ¾ beds that may be converted to King or Super King configuration, so it is worth planning ahead when selecting your pillow size.
