Table Linen Conlyn Weave Polycotton Tablecloths Napkins Overlays

Professional Care Instructions for Conlyn Weave Tablecloths, Napkins & Overlays

Overview

Conlyn Weave Table Linen is made from a premium 235gsm polycotton blend designed for hospitality use. The fabric offers excellent durability, stain resistance, wrinkle recovery, and colour-fastness, making it well suited to frequent commercial laundering. The collection includes tablecloths, napkins, and overlays in eleven sophisticated colours.

Washing Instructions

Correct washing helps maintain stain resistance, colour, and overall presentation.

  • Machine wash at 40°C for routine laundering
  • Use 60°C for heavily soiled items or where hygiene standards require it — the fabric is rated for commercial temperatures
  • Use a mild, pH-neutral detergent suitable for polycotton blends
  • Do not use bleach — bleach degrades the polycotton fibres and causes colour loss
  • Do not use fabric softener — it coats the fibres and reduces stain resistance over time
  • Wash similar colours together to prevent colour transfer, especially on first wash
  • Turn items inside out on first wash to protect colour
  • Use a gentle or normal cycle — avoid heavy-duty cycles unless necessary
  • Do not overload the machine — items need room to rinse thoroughly

Drying Instructions

Proper drying helps preserve the fabric's smooth finish and reduces unnecessary creasing.

  • Tumble dry on low to medium heat — high heat can cause shrinkage and weaken fibres
  • Remove promptly from the dryer to minimise creasing
  • Line drying is preferred where possible — dry in shade or indoors to prevent colour fading from direct sunlight
  • Do not wring or twist — gently shake out items before drying
  • Ensure items are fully dry before storing to prevent mildew and odour

Ironing Instructions

Conlyn Weave has good wrinkle recovery, so only light finishing is usually needed.

  • Iron on a medium heat setting (120–150°C) — suitable for polycotton blends
  • Iron while slightly damp for the best results and a crisp finish
  • Use steam to help release stubborn creases
  • Do not iron on high heat — excessive heat can scorch the fabric or cause shine marks
  • For tablecloths, iron in the direction of the weave for a smooth, professional finish
  • Napkins can be folded and lightly pressed to shape for presentation

Stain Removal

Prompt treatment gives the best results and helps prevent permanent marking.

  • Act immediately — blot (do not rub) excess liquid or food with a clean, dry cloth
  • Rinse the affected area with cold water before treating — hot water can set stains
  • Apply a mild stain remover or pre-wash treatment suitable for polycotton; leave for 5–10 minutes before washing
  • For oil or grease stains, apply a small amount of dish soap directly to the stain, work in gently, then rinse
  • For wine or juice stains, blot immediately, apply cold water, and treat with a mild enzyme-based stain remover
  • For food stains, remove solids first, then treat with cold water and a suitable stain remover
  • Do not use bleach or chlorine-based stain removers — these will damage the fabric and cause colour loss
  • Wash as normal after treating — check the stain is fully removed before drying, as heat will set any remaining marks

Commercial Washing Durability

Conlyn Weave Table Linen is engineered to perform in high-frequency commercial laundering environments.

  • Rated for repeated commercial laundering at up to 60°C
  • Maintains colour-fastness and structural integrity through extended wash cycles
  • The polycotton blend resists pilling, tearing, and fibre breakdown under regular use
  • Use commercial-grade, pH-neutral detergents — avoid harsh chemicals, optical brighteners, or chlorine-based products
  • Tunnel washers and flatwork ironers are suitable — follow manufacturer guidelines for temperature and press settings
  • Inspect items regularly for signs of wear; replace items that show significant thinning, fraying, or colour degradation

Storage & Maintenance

Good storage practices help protect the fabric and extend its usable life.

  • Store in a cool, dry, well-ventilated area away from direct sunlight and moisture
  • Ensure all items are completely dry before folding and storing — damp storage causes mildew and permanent odour
  • Fold neatly along consistent fold lines to minimise deep creasing
  • Store tablecloths flat or loosely rolled where possible to avoid heavy fold marks
  • Do not store in plastic bags for extended periods — use breathable cotton or linen storage bags
  • Keep away from sharp objects, rough surfaces, and chemicals that could snag or stain the fabric
  • Rotate stock regularly in commercial settings to ensure even wear across your linen inventory

This care guide forms part of the product warranty conditions. Improper care, including the use of bleach, fabric softeners, excessive heat, or unsuitable cleaning methods, may void warranty coverage.
