Mattress Topper and Convertor Care Guide

Mattress Topper and Convertor Care Guide

Wetsafe Waterproof Hospitality Home

Material-specific care guidance for quilted microfiber, high density foam, latex, and memory foam mattress toppers and convertors.

Overview

Proper care of your mattress toppers and convertors ensures longevity, maintains comfort performance, and preserves your investment in premium bedding.

This guide covers care instructions for all four material types available in the Linen and Co collection.

Always check the product label for any specific care requirements before cleaning.

Quilted Microfiber Mattress Toppers & Convertors

  • Filled with premium microfiber — the same quality fill used in our Luxury Microfiber Duvet Inners — this topper delivers a soft, cloud-like surface with a fully fitted quilted skirt for a snug, secure fit.
  • Machine wash on a gentle cycle using cold or lukewarm water (30°C to 40°C).
  • Use a mild detergent. Avoid harsh chemicals, bleach, or strong cleaning agents.
  • Do not overload the washing machine. Bulky items need space to rinse and move properly.
  • If tumble drying, use a low heat setting only. Remove promptly once dry.
  • Line dry where possible to help preserve the loft and softness of the microfiber fill.
  • Fluff gently after drying to restore fullness.
  • Rotate or flip every 3–6 months to promote even wear and maintain comfort.
  • Use a mattress protector over the topper to guard against spills and stains.
  • Do not iron.

High Density Foam Mattress Toppers & Convertors

  • Do not machine wash or submerge in water. Foam absorbs moisture and may not dry properly, leading to odour or deterioration.
  • Spot clean only using a damp cloth with a mild soap solution.
  • Blot spills immediately and allow the area to air dry completely before covering.
  • Air out regularly in a well-ventilated space or in indirect sunlight to maintain freshness.
  • Rotate or flip every 3–6 months to promote even wear and extend the life of the foam.
  • Use a mattress protector to guard against spills, stains, and general wear.
  • Store flat in a cool, dry area. Do not fold or compress tightly for extended periods.
  • Do not iron or expose to direct heat sources.
  • Do not use bleach or harsh chemical cleaners.

Latex Mattress Toppers & Convertors

  • Do not machine wash or submerge in water. Excess moisture may damage the latex structure.
  • Spot clean only using a damp cloth with a mild detergent.
  • Blot spills gently and allow the area to dry fully before reuse.
  • Air out regularly in a well-ventilated space. Avoid prolonged direct sunlight, as UV exposure may cause the latex to yellow or degrade over time.
  • Rotate or flip every 3–6 months to promote even wear and maintain consistent support.
  • Use a mattress protector to help extend the life of the topper and guard against moisture.
  • Store flat in a cool, dry environment. Do not fold, roll tightly, or compress for extended periods.
  • Do not iron or expose to direct heat.
  • Do not use bleach, solvents, or harsh chemical cleaners.

Memory Foam Mattress Toppers & Convertors

  • Do not machine wash or submerge in water. Memory foam retains moisture and may not dry properly, which can lead to odour or mould.
  • Spot clean only using a damp cloth with a mild soap or gentle detergent.
  • Blot spills immediately. Do not rub or saturate the foam.
  • Allow the cleaned area to air dry completely before covering or using again.
  • Air out regularly in a well-ventilated room to maintain freshness.
  • Avoid prolonged direct sunlight, as heat and UV exposure may affect the foam's structure and responsiveness.
  • Rotate or flip every 3–6 months to promote even wear and extend product life.
  • Use a mattress protector to guard against spills, stains, and general wear.
  • Store flat in a cool, dry area. Do not fold, compress, or roll tightly for extended periods.
  • Do not iron or expose to direct heat sources.
  • Do not use bleach, solvents, or harsh chemical cleaners.

  • Ensure the topper or convertor is completely dry before placing sheets or protectors over it.
  • For convertors, ensure your bed frame can support the additional weight and thickness.

  • Most toppers and convertors last 5–10 years with proper care.
